Manchester International Festival (MIF) is a biannual arts and culture festival featuring original and innovative work from some of the biggest artists in the world, from dance to theatre to digital VR experiences. MIF19 featured artists such as Yoko Ono, Skepta, Janelle Monáe, Idris Elba and David Lynch.

I worked as part of a small in-house design team for 6 months leading up to the launch of the festival, working on all visual output; including outdoor campaigns, identity for different shows, website design (To The Moon & Atmospheric Memory), motion graphics, illustration, programme design and print design - developing the original brand system created by North.

I was tasked with creating a series of out of home posters and billboards highlighting the artist lineup at MIF as part of the ‘Tourism Manchester’ campaign, aimed at getting people from around the UK to visit Manchester during the festival.

The system had to be flexible enough to fit multiple sized formats, adding and removing artist photography for each application.
